A podiatrist is a university-qualified health professional who assesses, diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the feet, ankles and lower limbs.

At Podiatry Medics, Dr Larry is not your typical general podiatrist, he provides care across a broad and advanced scope of podiatry. His qualifications in Clinical Myotherapy and Exercise and Sports Science strengthen his approach to musculoskeletal assessment, biomechanics, movement and rehabilitation, allowing him to consider how the feet and lower limbs may influence other areas of the body.

His experience also extends across many other areas of podiatry, including nail and skin conditions, minor surgical procedures, diabetic and high-risk foot care, wound management, sports injuries, orthotic therapy and complex foot and lower-limb conditions.

With more than 15 years of combined clinical experience, Dr Larry provides comprehensive, personalised care that brings together multiple areas of expertise rather than focusing only on the presenting symptom.

Podiatry services may be available through these programs, depending on your eligibility and funding arrangements. Please provide any referrals, approvals and case manager details before your first appointment so we can confirm billing. Please note that even when a device has been approved for funding, a private gap payment may apply if the approved funding amount does not cover the full cost of the device.

Please bring your medication list, relevant referrals, scans or reports, current orthotics and the shoes you wear most often. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended

Initial appointments may take up to 40 minutes depending on the type of consultation. Routine skin and nail appointments are usually shorter, while nail surgery and more complex procedures may take approximately 60 minutes.

No referral is required for private appointments. A referral or approval may be needed when claiming through Medicare, DVA, TAC, WorkSafe, NDIS, My Aged Care or another funding provider.

Podiatry Medics does not offer bulk billing but we do accept concession rates.

Eligible patients referred by their GP under a Chronic Condition Management Plan may receive a Medicare rebate of $63.40 per eligible appointment. The full consultation fee is payable first, and an out-of-pocket cost will apply. The Medicare rebate normally arrives into your nominated bank account within 24-48 hours.

This depends on your individual needs. Some people benefit from a check-up once or twice a year, while others may require more regular care for diabetes, pain, wounds, skin and nail concerns, orthotics or rehabilitation. Early care can help prevent small concerns from becoming more serious.
